She secured prelim and novice champion. Also Novice Horse of the Year. Enya also recorded “Highest Scorer” of any horse in the competition.
Enya was shod regularly every 4 weeks. Her hooves got progressively larger and flatter her movement compromised as she was going down on her hind bumpers. In April 2006 Jo had Jeremy remove the shoes. Enya never looked back, her movement improved, her record unbeaten. Following a one day natural hoof care workshop with Jeremy, Jo now competently trims her own horses.
She has an invaluable photographic record which follows the transition of Enya’s hooves.
