The Grape Horse Adventure

We all know of it!

Australia’s most famous wine region, the Barossa Valley.

It’s the sort of place when you’re astride a horse, you see and feel it for “real” – the development of the region depended on hardworking horses who cultivated the land, worked the vineyards, moved stock and transported kids to school.

In this 4 night/5day horse riding adventure you can immerse yourself in the landscape, the amazing food and wine experiences, explore the charming countryside and interact with the local people. Jen and Jeremy have found the best kept secrets and best riding trails possible. The landscape offers a breathtaking patchwork of vineyards, farmland and forest.

Days are full of time in the saddle crossing the Barossa Valley Ranges and dropping down into local wineries for lunch or skipping around the forestry trails, stock routes and quiet country roads, popping out at magnificent stone huts and historic homesteads for a “breather.”

Its “pinch me now stuff” to ride through vine rows and then sit down on a balcony overlooking these vines and enjoy a wine made from the grapes.

The temperate South Aussie climate lends itself beautifully to the production of extraordinary wines and this tour is without a doubt a wine & culinary adventure. From cellar doors, to a fine dining restaurant, a hearty breakfast at the deservedly famous Farmers Markets to time at Maggie Beers Pheasant Farm.

The team of horses are trained and fit for endurance riding. The horses are all naturally educated and ridden bitless and barefoot. They have guided guests on the sell out “Tassie Tiger Trail” with their chests puffed proudly and they are ready to showcase the Barossa.

Part of your holiday experience is to enter their world and training methods and challenge yourself and horse with groundwork, obstacles and tricks before you head off trail blazing across the Barossa.

It’s a horse-riding adventure where you develop a deep connection with your horse.
